Who We Are
At Keetup, we are passionate about empowering immigrant writers in Canada by offering a dynamic platform to share their stories and ideas. Whether writing in their native languages or in English, we are committed to celebrating diverse voices and enriching the literary landscape of North America.
Rooted in inclusivity, we currently publish works in German, Turkish, English, and Spanish, with plans to expand into more languages. By bridging the gap between writers in Canada and abroad, we amplify their reach, connecting them with readers across the continent and beyond.
We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of a remarkable collection of 32 children’s books, available in multiple languages and exploring themes like diversity, empathy, and resilience. Complementing this is our inspiring series of 10 philosophy books, tailored for young readers aged 10-14, nurturing curiosity and critical thinking.
Keetup welcomes authors from all genres and backgrounds, publishing both fiction and non-fiction. For aspiring writers, our paid creative writing workshops provide essential skills and guaranteed publication opportunities, fostering talent and helping them realize their potential.
Beyond publishing, we are deeply invested in community engagement. Through partnerships with libraries, retirement homes, daycares, and learning centers, we host enriching workshops and literary events that inspire a love for storytelling across generations.

When I began my writing journey in 2010, I quickly encountered the challenges and costs of self-publishing. My first book, published through a hybrid format, unexpectedly became a significant success. This accomplishment garnered the attention of the publishing industry, enabling me to continue my career with traditional publishers. Over the years, I have published more than 10 books, reaching readers in multiple countries.
As I continue to grow as a writer, I recognize the importance of supporting emerging authors who are striving for recognition and a lasting impact in the literary world. We Love to read your story
We are an independent, Canadian-owned publisher specializing in contemporary trade fiction and non-fiction. Our books are dedicated to amplifying and elevating exceptional writers, offering works that reflect the world around us, satisfy curiosity, and both enlighten and entertain readers.
What to include in your submissions email
- an introductory email introducing yourself and your project
- your manuscript or proposal, as an attachment (Word file preferred, but a pdf is okay); please no links to Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer, and the like
- in the subject line provide the title of your project and genre
- if you are a returning author, please include that in the subject line
For fiction manuscripts
- full manuscripts only; 10pt to 12pt type and single or double spaced; include page numbers, title, and your name in the header or footer
- a synopsis of one to three pages
- a literary CV that lists your previous publications (if any), works in literary magazines/journals, and relevant experience
- the word count

We are excited to consider your submission! At Keetup, we support Canadian authors and authors residing in Canada, with a priority given to submissions from Canadian citizens or residents. Due to the high volume of emails we receive, we are unable to respond to every submission individually. If you have not heard back from us within six months, please assume that your submission has not been selected. Kindly refrain from sending follow-up emails or making phone calls. Please note that we do not provide editorial feedback on works that we do not plan to publish.
